Before heading to Hungary, we stopped in a local farmers market. Wow! The fresh aroma of fruits and vegetables was amazing. Found a hidden church that was stunning. We crossed border to Hungary and arrived in the thermal resort town of Heviz. Home to the famous and largest thermal lake in the world. Streets were a live with bathers carrying tubes and noodles to float in thermal waters. Giant Cottonwood trees and beautiful flora gardens surround the lake. This area next to Lake Balaton is known throughout Europe for its healing waters. Can it fix my shoulder? Probably not, but, one can hope! Maribor Slovenia. On the road again! Heading to Hungary tomorrow after stopping by Maribor Slovenia for a little rest. Lovely, second largest city in Slovenia. It has the oldest grape vine at 450 years old. Still producing. Enjoyed a libation at Piranhna along the Banks of the Drava River. Grabbed a few slices of pizza and enjoyed a glass of Slovenian wine. Golf Club Dellach circa 1927 was our final round in Austria. This course was as spectacular as the views of the Lake Worthersee on certain holes. The hilly course weaved around tight fairways, deep forests and babbling brooks. It has several blind tee shots that demanded focus. Celebrating 100 years in 2027, this is a must play. We took a boat from Falkensteiner Schloss Velden to dockside for Club Dellach. This is one of the best lakes in all of Austria. Crystal clear!! Beautiful!
