After a 4 hour drive along the coast of Croatia, we arrived in Dubrovnik. The famous walled city renowned for its formidable walls and towers. It even served in the Game of Thrones series. It is one of most visited cities in Europe. It's hot and humid! Lots of tourists and it's good to own a ice cream or Gelato store. Speed boat to Blue Cave then stopped to snorkel in crystal clear waters off five islands including Hvar. Walked ghe old town, extremely hot and humid. We went to our last island and grabbed a libation at Carpe Diem Beach Club, back into water and two hour ride back to port of Split. So much to discover in Croatia. Heading to Dubrovnik tomorrow. We have arrived in Split Croatia. The promenade was packed with tourists. The castle was fascinating. Water crystal clear and evening cruise superb. Look forward to island hopping tomorrow. Last night in Hungary. Little concert in town square. Crowd control was not a problem. Ha Ha No one messed with the dogs. One last look at Budapest. Heading to Croatia this morning. This is a favorite spot for all of Europe and now for America's Golfing Couple. The grounds are spectacular with floral gardens and giant cottnwood trees. Get you noodle and float your troubles away. Queen of the Danube, Budapest Hungary. The city was busy and beautiful when we arrived this morning. However, the dinner cruise at night !!OMG!! The city shines in the dark. The historic buildings, castles and museums line the bank for a spectacular light show. Perfect night weather on cruise. The river was extremely busy with traffic from river cruise boats and local tour boats. It was captivating to say the least. One of our favorite memories to date. Day of discovery for Heviz area. Jumped into car and drove into beautiful farm land and countryside. We noticed a castle upon a hill and went to investigate. Sumeg Castle circa 1200, amazing history of inhabitants fighting other armies from nearby tribes, pope's army, Ottomans and dynasties of that era. The place was fun to explore except all those smelly school children running around. Just kidding. The teachers looked like they needed rescuing. They have jousting tournament and reenact like knights of old. Fun day! Stopped by Laposa Winery overlooking Lake Balaton, the Hungarian Sea. Sherri, did you notice Max at gate.
